Everytime I try the LUL Northern Line, the whole app crashes if you go to break once moving... Not sure why that is?
Using a Mac I am unable to install .exe files that the older stock use...

Hi guys,

Having a fair bit of trouble with the package. All installed, however on trying to run a route...

The only exception I've found is a NWM diagram with the openbve_Voyager. Here, it all starts fine. However no engine sounds, until about 10mph when all the train sounds kick in.

Any ideas?

If it helps, I run snow leopard.

Cheers!

Apparently, your openBVE installation is incomplete as there is a file missing (take a look at the path indicated in your screenshot). As I don't maintain the Mac OS X package available in this thread, I can only advise that you download the full package from the homepage and replace your existing files.

With thanks Michelle.

Also, a side note - users not downloading the complete package may have difficulty if using Snow Leopard. The new OSX does not have the directory Library/Frameworks. It has been superseded by various other functions. Obviously it may be helpful to create it yourself, but I'm not sure if Mono is dependant on anything else in there.

Dear all,

I have OpenBVE working on my Mac, however I most enjoy the LUL routes and the only one for OpenBVE works fine if I use it with NY Subway stock or MTR trains but for some reason when I use the 1995 LUL stock for OpenBVE it crashes whenever I brake. Very strange, has anyone else had that problem? Or know how to fix it?

Both the route and train have been downloaded from train sim central and I have deleted and reinstalled a couple of times with no success!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Also - Route/Train developers - please don't make .exe files as they just don't work on a Mac, this EZ7Z format works lovely. Many thanks

The only thing I can think of is that when you brake, certain sounds are played. Maybe for some reason, OpenAL crashes when trying to load or play the related sound file. If this is indeed the reason for the crash, you could find out by disabling sound. If then, no crash occurs when braking, the sound format indeed caused a problem. If it still crashes, then finding the cause would be harder...

Thanks Michelle,

Disabling the sound does stop it from crashing, is the issue then the format of the file for the sound that is played when braking? Or another problem.

Any help to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks.
