Does Anyone Share Objects?

Postby Slinger on Fri, 3rd Jul 2009, 23:15

Does anyone maintain a database of copyright free image and objects for BVE and OpenBVE. I have a growing library of railroad and related photos. (track, ballast, bridges, vehicles, buildings, electrical, etc.) I have started to create .csv models.

I want to contribute to the OpenBVE community with high fidelity objects. I am too lazy to create a website of my own. Does anyone know of a popular repository?

There are websites that offer object libraries - the largest one I know if is located at http://www.eezypeazy.co.uk/ - but I am not sure if any one will host other people's objects.

If you don't want to builld a fully fledged website, why don't you just create a download page at, say, google sites, upload preview images at flickr or imageshack, and provide links in a forum thread?

Thanks Velaro. It looks like eezypeazy may the foremost librarian for publicly available .csv objects. I will certainly contact him. Although he appears to live in England and collect European images, he has international links to just about everyone who seems to be in the object modeling business.
